Here’s how and where to the corruption and all the corruption fragments in Fortnite chapter 2 season 8.

We have several quest lines added this week with the release of the new Fortnitemares update. Not only did we get news quests, we got a new POI, the reveal of the Cube Queen, and some Halloween-themed decorations including the battle bus.

Thankfully, these quests that were released this week are a little more complex in comparison to the quests we’ve seen release since the launch of chapter 2 season 8.

One of the challenges requires players to the corruption and all the corruption fragments. Here’s how to destroy them along with where to find them.

How to Destroy Corruption and Fragments in Fortnite

It seems this challenge is random. You need to hit the corruption fragments with your pickaxe until all of the ones visible on the ground disappear. They’ll randomly come back up from the ground, so you’ll need to keep hitting them until the corruption cluster comes up. You’ll then need to destroy the corruption cluster with your pickaxe and you’ll have completed the challenge.

One of the locations where you can destroy the corruption cluster and corruption fragments is just south of the new The Convergence location that’s in the middle of the map.

Here’s the map location that you’ll want to drop at:

You’ll see the fragments in the ground once you’re close enough as seen in the image below:

Once you’ve destroyed a certain number of corruption fragments, the cluster will appear and looks different to the fragments. Here’s what it looks like:

It’ll only take one pickaxe shot to destroy the above and once you do, you’ll have successfully completed the challenge.
